What personal data we collect and why we collect it
At Hair By Heidi, we take privacy seriously and only use the information we collect to provide our services. We do not share or sell the information we collect for any other purpose than providing the best possible service for our clients. At any time, you may request a copy of information we have recorded about you. You may also request we remove all identifiable information with respect to yourself. As a matter of course, we will delete your identifiable information if you have not undertaken business with us after 2 years.
We collect the very minimum personal information to run our business effectively. We collect telephone numbers and names, We do need to keep details on services you have had with us such as colour formulations, your preferred stylist, sometimes we may need to document any information we obtain about prior medical history that would stop us from delivering a service to our client, this would be with consent via yourself. This information is deleted after 2 years of no business with us. We consider you have provided consent for us to store personally identifying information and information about your services based on your receiving services from us. Of course if you want, you can opt out at any time.
Appointment confirmations and reminders:
We will contact you via phone, email or SMS to confirm appointments booked and remind you of upcoming appointments. We consider your having made the appointment as consent to undertake this activity but, if you want, you may opt-out at any time.
Marketing:
We will not undertake phone, mail, email or SMS marketing without you first providing consent for us to do so. Our marketing campaigns are automated and use rules based on services and products purchased and information we collect from you. For example, we may send marketing campaigns, the fact we miss you (you have not visited for 3 months) and other special days like Valentine’s Day and Christmas. Of course, you may opt out of receiving marketing material at any time.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media:
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms:
We collect email address and name as personal data, which is captured when someone submits a contact form, we do not keep it any longer than to reply to the message for customer service period only. After 2 weeks the messages are deleted. We do not use the information for submitted through them for marketing purposes.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
